Rubi is a proud Vancouverite! She studied hair at John Casablanacs Institute in the heart of Downtown Vancouver. While there, she discovered her passion for colour and creativity, as well as a hunger to continue her education. She is excited to keep learning while enrolled in Zazou’s academy program!

Trinity began experimenting with hair at just 12 years old, exploring bold colors, creative cuts, and styling techniques on herself and her siblings. Her passion for artistry led her to attend Vancouver Community College, where she built a strong foundation in professional hairdressing. Trinity continues to grow her skills through hands-on experience and a deep love for creative expression behind the chair.
Trinity believes great hair can fix almost anything, bad days, breakups, and even questionable DIY box dye decisions. She knows every head of hair tells a story, and her job is to help make it a good one. Whether it’s a subtle refresh or a bold transformation, she believes confidence starts at the roots.
Trinity loves the Davines line, especially the Alchemic Conditioner. She appreciates that there’s a conditioner
designed for each hair color, making it easy to maintain tone while keeping the hair soft, shiny, and healthy.

Safura discovered her love for hairstyling at just five years old, starting with braids and updos on her sisters. After earning a certificate in Business Administration, she followed her passion and completed the Hair Art Design program at John Casablancas Institute, along with a Bellami Hair Extension certification.
Safura is passionate about all aspects of hair, from healthy hair care to coloring and cutting. She loves bringing creative visions to life through styling and collaborations.

Safura is a hairstylist, her favorite color is baby pink, and she is passionate about all things beauty. She began in the industry as a teen, offering $10 makeup, nail, and hair appointments out of her home, and has been in love with enhancing beauty ever since.

Erin is originally from the UK, but has called Vancouver home for over a decade. With a background in wig making, Erin has a keen eye for detail and, although she’s very much an introvert, is now looking for clients who will talk back. Never one to shy away from a good DIY, she believes hair should be fun and a way to explore your personality. She can gently help you try new things and learn to love your hair.
Outside of Zazou, you can find Erin with her two children, husband and cranky old lady dog, Beans.
Erin originally went to school for SFX Make-up but after completing a module in wigs, she was sold on all things hair.

Guneet’s journey into hairstyling started long before she ever held a professional pair of scissors. She was the friend who loved doing everyone’s hair before a party, not because she had to but because she loved seeing people smile after that. The same love for making others feel confident is what brought her into the salon world today.
As an apprentice, Guneet believes every day is a new chance to learn, grow, and bring out someone’s best self through her work. She’s passionate about turning ideas into real transformations and loves connecting with people, hearing their stories, sharing laughs, and making sure they leave the chair feeling a little more like themselves. Her energy is calm, her heart is creative, and her chai-fueled imagination never stops. Whether it’s a bold new cut or a soft everyday style, Guneet believes that hair should always tell a story, your story. Her favourite saying: “When you look good, you feel good, and that’s the magic I love creating.”

Shadi attended John Casablancas Institute, where she received professional training in hairstyling. She also completed the Bellami Professional Hair Extensions Program, expanding her expertise in advanced extension techniques.

Wilson began his hair journey at John Casablancas Institute in 2025. It was here that he learned, practiced, and honed the fundamentals of hair. He was able to successfully graduate with a diploma in Hair Art Design and became certified as a Bellami Professional.
Wilson is seeking to perfect his craft in a world where he does not believe perfection exists. He believes that as hairstylists, “We have to think that our best work is always ahead of us. For myself, personally I feel like there can always be improvements.” It is with this mindset of holding himself accountable to the highest of standards that allows him to strive to greater lengths to give his guests an unforgettable experience in the salon.

Alina is a Junior Stylist here at Zazou Salon & Academy and as a personal assistant for our senior stylist Lana at Lonsdale. Alina is passionate about creating fresh, modern looks that bring out the best in every client. Originally from Ukraine, Alina trained at one of the country’s top academies, specializing in precision haircutting and advanced coloruing techniques. She continues to expand her skills by practicing and collaborating with seasoned stylists in Vancouver.
Alina believes that hair should be as individual as the person wearing it. Every head of hair tells its own story, and her goal is to tailor each cut and colour so it not only suits a client’s features, but also fits seamlessly into their lifestyle. She loves combining technical precision with a creative touch- whether it’s a soft, effortless cut, or a bold colour transformation. For Alina, great hair isn’t just about looking good in the mirror- it’s about leaving the salon with a smile, extra confidence, and maybe even a few selfies queued up for Instagram.

Kaity is Level 2 Stylist and is now open for colour services!
Kaity started out working as a line cook in a high pressure kitchen in downtown Vancouver in 2019. She switched from the kitchen industry to dog grooming after 2 years of kitchen work. She then worked with dogs for 3 years. About 2 years into working with dogs she decided she wanted to start her childhood dream of becoming a hairdresser. So she went to Vancouver Community College in 2023 and then completed and graduated her course in 2024. In 2025, she started her apprenticeship at Zazou Salon and Academy in North Vancouver and is excited to keep growing in the hair industry.
Kaity swears by La Biosthetique Homme Texture Pomade because of how nicely and lightly is holds her hair and makes her hair smell amazing.
During Kaity’s free time she loves to kick back with either a book, crochet project or a puzzle with a podcast in the background. If she had enough hands and eyes she would do them all at the same time.

Fari is a Level 2 Stylist – now offering colour services
Farimah (or better yet, Fari, cause she likes it that way) has always dreamed of making a name for herself in the beauty industry. After moving to Canada, she decided to go all in and studied Hair Art Design at JCI Institute in Vancouver, graduating with great marks. She’s also got her Bellami Master Certification in Hair Extentions.
Her work has been featured in Quadro magazine, where she showcased some of her creative editorial looks.
Fari is all about growing, learning and helping people feel their best, and right now, she’s continuing to level up, learn and stay on trend at Zazou Salon & Academy.
Fari believes that everyone deserves hair that really matches who they are. To her, hair isn’t just hair, it’s a way to show your vibe and personality. She’s all about making sure her clients leave the chair feeling confident and happy. Fari always says a good haircut or the right colour can seriously boost someone’s confidence. That’s why she puts in the effort to really understand her clients and build trust, so they feel comfortable and totally taken care of.
Anika is now a Level 2 Stylist – Offering basic colour and haircuts
Anika has always had a deep passion for hair she started cutting her Barbies hair when she was only 5 years old, now she has officially completed her Hair Art Design Program at John Casablancas Institute in July 2023.
Anika has a passion for being the stepping stone to helping you fall in love with yourself, starting with feeling confident. She wants to help provide you with the opportunity to redefine what you call beautiful and express that through your hairstyle, cut & colour. She wants to create a space where you can finally take a deep breath, relax from your busy life, or have a good laugh together (she’s a giggler). Anika hopes to help you leave the salon feeling a million times better than when you walked in.
Anika is committed to helping you find the exact shade of colour you are looking for. Whether that be a bright blonde, deep chocolate brown, or a wine red. She loves to cut any style, whether that be layers, a bob, or men’s cuts.
Anika swears by the Structure Therapy treatment, especially for people who use tons of bleach (don’t worry, same). She highly advises everyone who styles their hair with heat to use La Biosthetique’s heat protectant. Anika recommends everyone to throw away their drug store shampoo and conditioners and upgrade to the ones we offer in our salon. Not only will she thank you, but so will your hair.
Anika enjoys breaking a sweat, whether that be in the gym lifting weights or in the trails hiking up a mountain. She loves the summer and all that comes with it … the sun (getting a nice tan) & swimming in any body of water. Anika cannot go a day without a sweet treat; ice cream is her kryptonite.
