Making a Difference in Our Community
At Zazou Salon and Academy, giving back is part of who we are. Last Saturday, our team proudly joined the Cates Park beach cleanup to help keep our beautiful North Vancouver shoreline clean and thriving.
It was a day filled with teamwork, community spirit, and a shared love for the environment!
Supporting Our Efforts: Thank You to the District of North Vancouver
We are incredibly grateful to the District of North Vancouver, who generously provided us with gloves, garbage bags, and everything we needed to make the volunteer day a success.
Their support helped us focus fully on the task at hand: making a positive impact at Cates Park.
Community initiatives like this show what’s possible when we work together, and we were honored to be part of it.
Why We Chose Cates Park for the Beach Cleanup
Cates Park is one of North Vancouver’s most beloved spaces, a beautiful blend of trails, shoreline, and ocean views.
Protecting this special place was important to us, not just as volunteers, but as members of the North Vancouver community.
Participating in the Cates Park cleanup gave us the opportunity to give back to the environment we enjoy every day.
Our Beach Cleanup Experience
With our gloves on and reusable bags ready, the Zazou team spent the morning carefully removing trash and debris from the shoreline.
We collected everything from small plastic wrappers to larger discarded items, knowing that each piece removed made a difference.
It was an inspiring sight to see so many volunteers, individuals, families, and businesses, working side by side with a shared goal: giving back to the community and protecting our natural spaces.
More Than Just Cleaning — Building Stronger Connections
Beyond cleaning the beach, the day was about connection, with each other, with our community, and with nature.
We strengthened our bonds as a team, met other wonderful volunteers, and left Cates Park feeling proud, energized, and inspired.
At Zazou, we believe small actions add up to meaningful change. Whether it’s sustainable salon practices or community volunteering, we are committed to creating positive impacts.
What’s Next for Zazou?
This volunteering experience in North Vancouver left us excited for more!
We look forward to participating in future community events, supporting environmental initiatives, and continuing to give back whenever we can.
A huge thank you to the District of North Vancouver for their support and to everyone who participated in the Cates Park beach cleanup.
Together, we’re making North Vancouver an even more beautiful place to live and enjoy.
