At Zazou, we believe a salon should be more than a place to get your hair done, it should feel like coming home.
From the moment you walk in, our goal is simple: we want you to leave feeling truly cared for. We set the standard for exceptional guest experiences, offer only the very best products a salon can provide, and most importantly, we have a whole lot of fun doing it.

We are proud to be the first Carbon Neutral Salon in Metro Vancouver. For us, sustainability isn’t a trend. It’s a responsibility.
We partner with environmentally conscious brands such as La Biosthétique and Davines, and work alongside inspiring organizations like Blue Dot and Vish Hair Colour Software. Through these partnerships, we’ve been able to reduce our salon waste by 97%, keeping harmful materials out of landfills, streams, and our beautiful natural landscape.
Our impact continues to grow
We’ve helped replant 10,382 trees across Canada and counting.
In honour of every new guest at Zazou Salon and Academy a contribution is made to support Forests Canada’s tree-planting initiatives across Canada. Together, we are working toward our annual goal of planting 3 million trees. Thank you for supporting diverse, resilient, thriving forests today and for future generations.

A legacy since 1992
Zazou Salon and Academy began in 1992 with a vision from owner and stylist Bruce Peters. He wanted to build something different, a space that felt like a reset. A place where people could step away from the pace of everyday life, take a breath, and simply enjoy the moment.
As our community grew, so did our home. In 2008 we expanded from our cozy 375 sq. ft. studio into a 2,200 sq. ft. salon, eventually blossoming into two locations. Each one was designed with intention: to feel like an escape, where joy, comfort, and care meet.
Over the years, our dedication has been recognized both locally and nationally:
- North Shore Reader’s Choice Award – Favourite Hair Salon (9 years running)
- North Vancouver Chamber of Commerce Local Leader Awards
- Phorest Client Experience Award – 2020 & 2025
- Contessa National Hairstyling Awards – Semi-finalist & Finalist
But our greatest achievement will always be the community that continues to grow around us.
