ALL OVER MATTE FINISH
Holiday sparkle is fun, but a totally matte look can be just as striking! To achieve this flawless face, apply a primer specifically designed to soak up oils before applying foundation. Finish with powder for an even finish. A bright red lip and some simple black liner makes the look complete.
     TEAL EYELINER
Don’t limit yourself to black liner this season! Shimmery blue-green shade is a gorgeous match for brown eyes. Green eyed girls can try purple liner, while blue eyes will really pop with a bright magenta or reddish violet. Liquid liner works best with brighter hues, since it won’t smudge as easily as a pencil formula.
     CORAL LIPS
Go fresh faced for the holidays! Just a little black mascara and a coral gloss are all you need for a perfectly pretty party look.
     PURPLE SHADOW
Purple is the eye shadow colour of the season. It is surprisingly easy to wear and so much more fun than traditional neutral shades! To keep it from feeling costume-y, choose a light plum shadow that’s slightly shimmery or matte and stick to black mascara and liner at the waterline.
     GLOSSY BERRY LIPS
Nearly black lipstick can look glam, not goth! Balance out a deep berry shade by adding tons of mascara, but not too much of anything else.
     SOFT SMOKEY EYE
If a smoky eye feels a little too much for you, try rocking a less intense version of the trend. Layer nude and light grey shadows, but skip the eyeliner altogether and add mascara to only your top lashes.
   BEAUTIFUL BRONZE
Get a pretty glow this winter by swapping your blush out for bronzer! Choose one that’s just a shade or two lighter than your natural skin tone for a pretty ( not-fake-looking ) glow. The key is to apply shimmery or matte bronzer in a “3” motion, starting at your forehead and sweeping down to hit under your cheekbones and then your jawline. Finish off by applying an illuminating highlighter to the apples of your cheeks.
     SPARKLING LIP GLOSS
If there is one time you can totally pull off glitter-infused gloss, it’s during the holidays! Wear it alone for a subtle shimmer, or layer it over your favourite red lipstick for a more dramatic look.
LIQUID METAL/METALLIC SHADOW
Metallic eye shadow is an easier way to add some gold to your look! Choose a cream formula for mega impact, and keep the rest of your makeup matte so your eyes really shine.

VIOLET LIPS
Yes, you can wear purple on your lips this winter! Stick to a shade that compliments your skin tone. Fair skinned ladies look best in a lighter red-violet colour, while medium and darker tones can go for darker, nearly-black purples and bright magenta hipsticues. Matte lks give off a retro vibe, while glossy purples feel a little more girly-glam!
MATCHING MAKEUP
Create a cool monochromatic look by sticking to one shade for your eyes, cheeks and lips! Mix up the finish on each feature, for example, shimmery eye, matte cheeks, and glossy lips to keep your look from feeling flat.
BRIGHT FUCHSIA LIPS
If your classic red lip stick is starting to feel tired, but you’re not quite ready to try the purple trend, a hot pink is a perfect compromise! Choose a darker shade of fuchsia to fit the season. It’s a surprisingly easy shade for everyone to pull off, and you can keep the rest of your makeup super simple to let your pout take center stage!
     ROSY CHEEKS
Play up a cold-weather flush by adding rose-coloured blush to the apples of your cheeks! Try a cream formula for natural-looking colour.
     THIN WINGED LINER
For a fresh spin on a classic cat eye, use an ultra-thin liquid or felt-tip eyeliner to draw a wing from your outer corners, angling it towards your temple. Add some black mascara and nude gloss to complete the flirty retro inspired look!
     VAMPY LIPS AND LINER
For a slightly more sophisticated vibe, swap out your bright cherry lipstick for a darker shade! Try pairing it with black pencil liner on your upper and lower waterlines to achieve a edgy-glam look!
THICK WINGED LINER AND PINK POUT
For the ultimate in bold makeup this season, stock up on black kohl liners! The soft pencils deliver as much colour as liquid, but are easier to work with to create your perfect look. Don’t be shy, rim it all the way around your top and bottom waterlines, plus wing it out at the corners. Balance the bold eye with a soft lip like a pale pink pout. Light pink lipstick still works once the weather gets colder. Just pair it with a softer smoky eye so the look doesn’t feel too spring-y and pastel-y.
     LUSH LASHES
Major lashes are all you need for a super flirty party look! Apply a few individual falsies just to the outer corners followed by a volumizing mascara and liquid liner to blend everything together.
     SHIMMERY SHADOW
You can’t go wrong with a little sparkle for the holidays! Pick a metallic silver shadow to apply all over your lids, then add a super shimmery black to just the outer corners. Finish off the look with some matching pink blush and lip gloss!
