This is my first weekly blog for Zazou Salon and Spa.
Each week I will be sharing my delightful Zazou spa and salon experiences and giving you insider tips on how you can best care for your hair and spa services after your treatment.
My first spa service was a heavenly pedicure.
When I sat down in the pedicure chair, I was greeted by a friendly Zazou spa specialist. She placed a heated pillow around my neck and I could feel all of the tension quickly melting from my shoulders.
The hot colours right now for spring are pinks and blues! I chose a sparkly pink OPI polish that would make toes twinkle.
I am very active, hiking, biking and running, so my feet tend to have rough patches on the heels. If this sounds like you too, here is a great tip:
Keep a pedicure foot paddle in the shower. The next time you take a bath or shower simply use the paddle to remove any rough patches on your feet. You can do this when you have conditioner in your hair and do double in the same amount of time.
Then when you get out of the shower, apply FootLogix, this gorgeous lotion dries quickly so you can move on with your day and have marvelously fresh feet.
Zazou Salon and Spa carries FootLogix lotion and a line of professional foot paddles you can use to smooth out those rough spots on your feet.
After my gorgeous pedicure, I had another relaxing experience with a blissful manicure. I had a natural manicure done, and this time I tried the OPI gel polish add-on. The OPI gel polish color is a special lacquer that lasts for 2 weeks. Perfect!
As I was getting my nails done, my fabulous spa technician shared with me that OPI gel polish is easy to remove but needs to be done by a technician. If I decide to have the polish removed there will be no damage to my nails. How wonderful!
Here are some tips for caring for your nails, so they can look gorgeous in between treatments!
- First Tip ~ Apply OPI Avoplex Nail and Cuticle Replenishing Oil to your cuticles daily. This helps to prevent hangnails.
- Second Tip ~ When maintaining your nails at home and to keep them looking polished, try filing your nails at least once a week. When you do file, move the file in the direction towards the center of the nail. Do not file back and forth, this can damage the nail.
Join me next week when I have my hair cut and share tips on how to care for your hair during the spring weather. I will also give you some ideas on how to best prepare for your wax treatments and care for your skin after waxing.
Have a great week and keep looking fabulous!
