Hands are one of the busiest parts of your body, used for several tasks throughout the day. Many people do not take proper care of their hands, as a result, they end up dry and rough, looking as though they belong to someone much older. Imagine if you washed your face 10 times a day and never put on lotion or sunscreen! Many factors can cause dry hands, such as dry air, cold weather, low humidity, sun exposure, excessive hand washing, or immersion in water, exposure to harmful chemicals and swimming in chlorinated pools.
Medical skin conditions such as, psoriasis, eczema, allergens and certain medications, can also contribute to dry hands. When we are young, we were always taught to wash our hands before dinner to get rid of dirt and bacteria but, were you also taught to apply hand cream afterwards? If so, then you were taught correctly!
Our skin has its own defensive barrier, hydro-lipid film, and when hands lose their natural oils, they need to be replenished with a moisturizer. The oil ducts on our palms and fingers are tiny compared to elsewhere on the body. As a result, hands get chapped and dry out much more easily than other bodily areas. This is why hand cream should be chosen with your skin type in mind. With the right blend of hand cream and specific formulas made for hands, a moisturizing care cream will protect your skin by reducing the physical visible signs of aging. So, how do you how figure out which hand cream is right for your hands?
Is a hand cream which, is not only designed to hydrate your hands but, also maintains skin balance and natural protective function.
Here are four benefits why CITROMYCINE hand cream should be one of your staples!
CITROMYCINE hand cream will actually increase the elasticity of skin tissue. As you age, the elasticity of your skin starts to diminish, which may have a big impact on how your hands look and feel. The oil complex increases elasticity thanks to balloon vine extract and sunflower concentrate. These ingredients are particularly rich in Omega 3/6 fatty acids. They stabilize the skin barrier, even in dry and stressed tissue.
2. Healthy Skin
All skin contains bacteria. Good bacteria as well as, bad bacteria. CITROMYCINE is based on yoghurt and milk probiotics. These two ingredients maintain the balance of skin flora, keeping it healthy. The growth of bacteria which promotes skin health, is selectively supported. The growth of damaging bacteria is thus, reduced. CITROMYCINE is particularly suitable for eczema skin sufferers.
Our skin has its own natural moisturizing factor (NMF). This is a chain of acids which are regulating hydration. Unfortunately, under stress, wrong care, age and environmental influences, the skin diminishes the process of producing its NMFs. As a result, skin becomes dry and lacks hydration. One of the skin´s NMF is lactic acid, which improves the skin´s moisture binding capacity. Having lactic acid as one of the key ingredients in CITROMYCINE hand cream, the skin will receive exactly what it needs: hydration. This acid also repairs the microscopic cracks, which makes the skin rough and sensitive. The cream has an instant reparative effect while long term, cares for skin.
4. Reduction of inflammation and protection
One of the biggest benefits of the CITROMYCINE hand cream is hand care protection. When unhealthy skin does not have all the necessary support you may notice skin cracking, chapping, even peeling. This can be a big problem, especially in the colder months of the year. A good cream will offer protection which prevents these problems, before they even start. Panthenol and allantoin, which are very well known in the pharmaceutical industry for cuts and burns, calm and support the skin´s natural protection mechanisms.
Keep your CITROMYCINE hand cream ideally beside your bed and apply regularly before going to bed. The miniature size is also very handy to have in your purse, for applications during the day and on the go.
One more tip: Don´t forget to use your SPF on the back of your hands! Like our face, hands are exposed to the environment and need the same protection. Eyes may be the windows to your soul, but our hands reveal a lot too! Let´s take care of them!
Until next time,
