At Zazou, quality is of the utmost importance.  Intense research was crucial in finding the best hair that will last the test of time.  The hair we use is collected from temples in India.  According to local beliefs the deity Vishnu is in debt by a higher God due to a loan for his wedding.  The people now pay off the debt of Vishnu by first growing their hair and then shave their head to donate their hair to the temple.  The temples collect the hair and sell it so they can build and restore temples and schools with the money they receive in return.

Both Great Lengths and Freefall Hair extensions use this Indian Temple hair and the hair undergoes the same process.

Indian Temple Hair means that all hair cuticles face in the same direction and reduces the possibility of tangling.  The hair is used in the virgin condition (It has never been exposed to harsh chemical treatments).  These features help to provide easy maintenance, longevity, and resistance to an active lifestyle.  The hair receives a special colour bath (if needed) called MPCL treatment (Micro Polymer Cross Linking).  This is through the use of osmosis that takes between 15 to 20 days.  This ensures that no bleach will be used which could damage the hair.  Osmosis does not alter the quality of the hair and helps to guarantee that the colour will not fade out.

The process that Great Lengths uses in order to maintain undamaged, high quality hair is through Micro Polymer Cross Linking.

Great Lengths uses a process of bonding that is a gentle application called modulating.  The bonding material is made up of polymer chains called keratin that has a very similar molecular structure to that of human hair.  Keratin moves and behaves like your own hair, yet has a gentle, but firm hold.  It is compatible with environmental elements such as heat, water, and sunlight.  Other bond systems that do not behave like keratin will not react the same to these elements and will deteriorate and fall out.

Great Lengths extensions will last for a maximum of 4 to 6 months with proper care.  It can also be coloured by an expert.
